Just as an information someone just has to debianize the tvtime version on mcentral.de and that issue would be solved. I'm successfully running this tvtime version with the latest Ubuntu Hardy. Using the software output also allows to use the 3d effects with tvtime (and it's possible to start it multiple times with different users). It also supports SDL output (which itself has a couple more output plugins) beside direct Software Rendering using ffmpeg/swscale. This is confirmed and the the has the same problem as following report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tvtime/+bug/210132 in the 3d environment or with newer ATI graphiccards 2d overlay is not available anymore (neither is there any compatibility layer available as with the nvidia drivers as far as I know). -- tvtime does not start with totem-xine open https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/76352 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I think 2 programs cannot use the hardware overlay layer both at the same time. Totem might use a software layer when the overlay is in use but tvtime might not (excuse my poor understanding of layers and overlays if I am wrong). -- tvtime does not start with totem-xine open https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/76352 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
