Hello.
I also have a MSI GX700 laptop with ALC888 and the speakers give no sound, the
headphones work tho.
The only sound I get is trough it's internal "Sub-woofer". In my search for an
easy solution that doesn't involve reverting from pulseaudio I have found that

Hmm, this codec is being misconfigured. Both headphone and line-out
wants to go through 0x0c, the speaker because of the fixed links
alc880_idx_to_mixer(alc880_dac_to_idx(spec->multiout.dac_nids[i])) in
alc880_auto_create_multi_out_ctls, and the headphones because of the
fixed links alc880_idx_to_d
