Sorry, perhaps I should have dropped a note here.
I'm the Debian maintainer of plotdrop. The original patch wouldn't work
with the new upstream release, so I took the opportunity to get the
author to fix the issue in the 0.5.2 release. So the bug is indeed also
fixed upstream.

many cases, checked on other distributions (especially Debian). For
this bug, there doesn't seem to be a clear place to file the bug
upstream, so it's hard to check if this was done. For checking in other
