Michael Nagel : You can close this bug report. I've tried to scan at 2400dpi today, and the crash cannot be reproduced anymore, on 12.04 up to date. However, the scan sometime stops before it is complete, and simple-scan says it can't communicate with the scanner anymore. That's a old bug I have,
