Since this issue is still not fixed, and since Parcellite has release an
update (1.0.2rc5) for Ubuntu 12.10, my workaround is to use parcellite
instead of clipit:
sudo apt-get install parcellite

I'm not sure how to reproduce it, but I use clipit daily and it's list
becomes out of sync frequently (you'll select one item and it will put a
different item from the list into the current memory for pasting).
