I agree, it would appear to have got worse. For me, this only appeared with
Gutsy and I've been using Ubuntu from Dapper onwards with this same Seagate as
a secondary hard drive.
I plan to test Hardy Alpha 2 on the second PC that now uses this Seagate drive

I would not call it a crash. Anytime I try to go to pandora.com the page
loads but it is blocked from playing music or showing anything on the page..
It acts as if the ad block is preventing pandora from opening, but i get a
message that says i do not have a flash player. I

to /etc/hal/fdi/policy.
What's missing is a way to make it use the correct keymap automatically
without editing any fdi file or such.
btw, this bug apparently is just due to misconfiguration with the new

Just tried your tip but it does not work for me.
The remote server was already stopped.
Enabling or disabling it has no effect, the X server always restarts at
logout, and always uses VT9 instead of VT7.

Ok, I need to correct myself: if I launch the new xcompmgr without parameters,
it works, but if I launch xcompmgr -c, it freezes!

On xenman 0.6-1ubuntu2 with Distri Gutsy Gibbon i get only an black vm-
console. I have tested on three machines with the same problem. The
kernel 2.6.22-14-xen (xen 3.1) from the ubuntu packages. Maybe my
mistake but won't work with hvm or parav.
This bug should be marked as Fix Released since it is in gutsy-
updates.

I applied the patch from bug #148070. After that, keyjnote failed on any
pdf I tried with a message
NameError: global name 'RealPage' is not defined
Replacing on line 1050 'RealPage' with 'page' apparently fixed the
problem.

I and Cesare (norsetto) worked together is this one and conclued the
only Ubuntu change that has not been applied upstream is related to the
addition/removal of members in the initialization of the Operation_seq
struct in rulesets/Py_Operation.cpp.
We believe however that upstream is correct
