Sorry for this, there was a terrible mix-up when rolling the 8.04.2
server media and some packages were included on the image that had not
yet completed the SRU process.
The SRU for openldap2.3 has now been completed, so you should see slapd
2.4.9-0ubuntu0.8.04.2 available now in hardy-updates.
Does anyone know if this is fixed in the kernel in jaunty? I don't have
access to a NetApp to test against.

report was specifically about the output under -v, not about the need to
escape filenames inconveniently for scp.
While scp's behaviour is inconvenient, it is rather unlikely to change
since scp's interface is necessarily frozen

files-udeb package being missing in the installer environment for some
reason. This was probably transient.

I can confirm that the Logitech MX700 Cordless Desktop is not a Microsoft Like
Keyboard.
This kernel has not fixed it. Guess I'll open a new Bug for it - if I don't

I can use most of the Multimedia Keys though by just unplugging and re-plugging
the Cordless Desktop receiver
exactly the same on my PC with 8.10_x32, except that it does not freeze
the whole desktop, just sypaptic freezes. Every time I want to change
something in the preferences, synaptic freezes. I have to kill it then.
The problem can be reproduced, with the same results all the time.

I can confirm this Bug. Having the same issue with a Cordless Desktop MX700.
The Mouse is working OK, but almost all Multimedia Keys are working only after
