We have seen this cardreader on some laptops, but most BIOS missed its
special init, it's better to do that init in kernel.
The support doesn't show up in mainline or mmc-next yet.

It does (rarely) happen that the drop down list with the last used
commands in the HUD doesn't respond. This can be overcome by a new
search, after that also the drop down list works
It's either a bug in libimobiledevice, or our use of it. I cannot
reproduce the problem locally, and the last bug dates back from 2012. As
nothing changed on the UPower side, it's likely a problem lower down the
stack.

After updating to kernel 3.8.0-31, the display has become unusable. The
login screen goes blank every few seconds, and returns after about 1
second. After logging into unity, there is total display corruption.
The display flickers and flashes and is generally unusable.

just cannot install the ATI HD 7450 driver. Additional driver of ubuntu
provides me two driver options, although the driver can be activated, it
always said: the driver is currently activated but not in use. What's
more, there is a water mark saying AMD Unsupported hardware

My guess is changes backported to 3.5.0-41 and 3.8.0-31 are causing
this.

This is a clean install of Ubuntu 12.04.3 amd64 and this bug is not fixed.
As suggested, I looked at the code at line 367 and it looks like this:

I'll close this bug for Onboard, there were no more complaints after the fix
for bug #938302. Please reopen it if you are still affected.
I believe, since the unlock dialog is part of gnome-screensaver,
lightdm/unity-greeter/gdm were never involved.
