I installed the proposed version on Ubuntu 15.04 in a virtual machine. I
can verify that the application icons on the start screen of the
software centre, do appear. But, when you click on an application, the

I just upgraded to Vivid and I've got this same problem. CTRL+ALT+T
doesn't open a terminal and CTRL+ALT+L doesn't lock the screen. I can
assign those features to other shortcuts, it works, but if I assign it

I have
fs.inotify.max_user_watches=1048576
and experiencing what looks like this issue (downloading a file and size
not updating in nautilus). I'm using insync and spideroak, so maybe
these are using up the watches ?

It doesn't happen *every* time when waking up from suspend, just
sometimes. I can try switching to the mainline kernel and run it for a
while, and hope it happens again.
However, I had exactly the same problem on Fedora 21 through multiple
kernel upgrades.

Just mentioning that this bug still persists, rendering debootstrap
entirely useless to build any installation that requires any vitrual
package at all, but apparently that doesnt even make it important enough

I had similar problems on Utopic (14.10), but not anymore on Vivid
(15.04). The same problem occurred to me with all other system-wide
shortcuts as well, e.g. volume up/down, keyboard layout switch etc. I
heard other people confirming it. Is it maybe the same for you?
