When I edit a file and click 'X' to close the program, it asks me
whether I want to save the file, which is okay.
After the file is saved, it no longer exits the program, so if I still
want to exit the application, I need to click the red 'X' again.

Booted via grub-n-iso shutdown works for me, but not when the pendrive
was created by cloning the current Lubuntu Xenial i386 daily iso file,
xenial-desktop-i386.iso
Today I tested with USB-creator-gtk 0.3.2 and mkusb, but can get the
same result with other cloning tools, e.g. gnome-disks, dd.
With the build made by Clive i am able to install and run Muon on
Xenial. It doesn't crash now when checking for updates, installing
packages etc. Many people asked for Muon and they would like to see it
in this LTS release.

Whenever I open the Public directory I see a message in a blue
background that reads "Sharing - May be shared over the network" with a
'Preferences' box on the right (see the attached picture). But nothing
happens when the 'Preferences' button is clicked.

I have this adapter now. It detects the same
Intel version: 370710018002030d00
and it does load exactly same firmware file.
But in lsusb I have
8087:07dc
That must be some other revision of the chip.
I suggest writing a letter to the kernel maintainers.

I have the same issue (fresh install, new home dir). Affected applications:
nautilus, gedit, eclipse. I have found the following workaround to restore
menus for current session:
* delete ~/.cache/compizconfig-1
* relogin
... and all will be ok until the next reboot.
