It's got something to do with the kernel. Done a quick test using the latest kernel 4.4.0-42-generic. Restarted my pc and logged in. Opened terminal and mem usage was 1.8gb. Done the same with the latest 4.8.1 kernel from ubuntu kernels page and the usage was only 673mb. Crazy! -- You received
