I've managed to finish the grub-efi-amd64-signed installation and set the boot
order in efibootmgr by specifying Linux kernel parameter
efi_no_storage_paranoia.
For some reason setting the boot order frozen my system on the first run but
worked fine on the second run.

Vulkan still doesn't work. I also lost the option to log into Wayland
from the login screen.

I was unable to test the latest upstream kernel because of a libssl1.1 issue
[1], which does not let me install the latest 4.16.7 or v4.17-rc4.

I have about 50 mail lists configured using smartlist. Everything works
in 17.10, however, upon upgrading a mail server to 17.10, mail sent to
listn...@domainname.com (for example, smartlist-us...@eskimo.com> does
not distribute. Instead it sends the message to the list
nvidia-drm.modeset=1 is used for PRIME Sync. In a gist, it copies the
framebuffer from the dGPU to the iGPU without tearing. Without this,
VSync is not effective no matter what.
I have switched back to gdm3. In Xorg, OpenGL works as expected, with
the NVIDIA GPU (according to glxinfo), but Vulkan
I confirm, when you delete the nouveau.runpm=0 option from grub (no need
to force the -1 value if you just modify the grub file, it's default if
