I too am affected now. After suspend+resume, my touchpad isn't found.
Rebooting doesn't help: I really have to turn the machine off and on
again.
I can attach mouse, and then if I try to open touchpad settings in Input

Hi,
I had a Thomson X6 notebook, it's seems to be a Jumper Ebook 3 Pro
rebranded.
I compiled original kernel from kernel.org.
- With 4.14 RC7 version, movements, simple ou double tab click, 2 finger
gesture worked. But click buttons not.
- With 4.14 RC8 version, nothing works anymore ! I did so

this is my first time installing an ubuntu on a live machine not virtual
machine, i was dual booting ubuntu on my lenovo legion y520 it's a brand
new laptop that i bought a month ago. when i'm installing ubuntu
everything was alright, the keyboard, speaker, mouse is working th
By disabling the Gesture parameter for my touchscreen multitouch is
working. But no more pinch to zoom or to finger to scroll ... no more
Gestures !
Both should be able to work together.
Should I open an issue ?

on now). Apparently some "unity" packages sneaked into the system. As I
don't need those, I removed them and everything seems to be fine now.
However I still don't know what packages exactly are causing this

When installing Lubuntu 18.10 Cosmic after selecting "Install Lubuntu" the
Live desktop apperas and Lubuntu is not installed.
However if I then go the Applications tab and select "System Tools" - Install
System" the Lubuntu installer runs and successfully instals the system
I mean, when I logout and login I can start gnome-terminal again, but
this error happened to me at least twice already and I don't think
logging out and logging in is a solution as it would close my session
when I'm doing something. Again: Thanks for your help.

I can't seem to upgrade to Ubuntu 18.04 from 17.10. It can't
Update regarding 17.10 - After switching from GDM to lightDM, logout and
login are enough, no reboot required. With GDM, logout and sudo
systemctl restart display-manager was also enough and didn't require a
full reboot.
This is for nvidia-prime 0.8.5, kernel 4.13.0-41-generic and
390.59-0ubuntu0~
The USB3 issue should be resolved in the linux kernel bionic uses, see
