There is a bug in GRUB where it will not write the boot loader to the
disk. It simply says "Fatal Error" and then exits. Further attempts
will result in the same error message.
To fix this error, I can take the drive out and put it into a windows
machine, switch it to

to turn the notebook off and on 5 times and all times both Bluetooth and
Wireless worked.

FWIW, it looks like btrfs-convert is being dropped upstream. I just
compiled mine from source, and it crashed after some heavy churning. The
package description should be changed though (it explicitly mentions

When starting sssd in highest debug level, and then changing resolv.conf once
