Why would it only hit us thou?
I was upgrading Debian from 3.0 (stable) to 4.6 (unstable)

change/requires a transition. We don't need it enough to justify the

"one need that I know about is that DPDK will grow a dependency on
intel-ipsec-mb to support their offloads. DPDK is in MAIN and this would
be a component mismatch, therefore I'm glad to hear that you planned to
file a MIR anyway.

Steps to reproduce the bug :
On otherwise-empty system, install 'k3b' package with 'apt install'
Run 'k3b' and see it starting up with empty splash screen and without other
graphical controls
Workaround in Bionic : install 'k3b-extrathemes' package
In Xenial and Trusty,
Those extra MPs only exist in LXD containers, but other solutions might have
other sub /dev/* MPs.
Newer libvirt tries to preserve these into the qemu namespace, which is what
breaks it now.
But when resolving the LXD specials I found that others are hit just as much.
