desktop wallpaper settings were honored again.
The PCManFM settings keep getting reset. If I change ".config/pcmanfm-

Brain, thanks, installing xul-ext-lightning package from the package
manager worked for me. I may have needed to restart thunderbird as
well.

Firmware
This happened on lubuntu dated, 10/14/18, 12:33 AM. Not sure if there
has been an update since then, and this only happened on this dated ISO.
All the previous ISO's were fine.
I installed exactly as I always have, following Calamares lead all the way to
the end.

Ubuntu 16.04. The fwupd version in 16.04 is in deep maintenance mode
and issues on the branches contained there (0.7.x and 0.8.x) will not be
fixed.
