The failing autopkgtest is in the 'upstream' tests

It's very probably unrelated: apparently the testsuite.service
ended unexpectedly, due to a SIGCHLD because the sleep.service
(the child iiuic) got a SIGTERM unexpectedly too, and finished.

Recently we found the CONFIG_PREEMPT is not enabled in the ubuntu
kernel, but it is enabled in the Pi OS's kernel. We plan to enable the
CONFIG_PREEMPT in the ubuntu kernel too. So please wait for that kernel
and then test a kernel with PREEMPT enabled.
Or you could test Pi OS's kernel first.
Maybe try selecting 'Ubuntu on Wayland' from the login screen (icon in
the bottom right corner after you select the user). That will use a
different render path and might avoid the problem.

Thanks but that crash is from nautilus (the Files app) which is not
relevant to screen freezes. So please repeat the steps in comment #2.
If nothing can be found after following all the steps in comment #2
again then please:
1. Reproduce the freeze again.
2. Reboot.
3. Run:
journalctl
