from (in particular the mask). They are not owned by any package, nor
does chrony's postinst seem to create it (but maybe through a helper,

"systemd-timesyncd" package (as we also run tests against that), and
that removes the chrony package and installs the mask:

on one hand let me ask a few questions (below) as the report as-is can't really
be acted on.
on the other hand - even then - this is a topic that does not sound like an
Ubuntu specific problem or fix and therefore more likely will be successful if
deiscussed upstream
