vmplayer fails to start
I noticed it on nautilus windows browsing directories on removable
devices, and the change occurs when I remove it.

I moved to Edgy and the Cancel icon on dialongs is a cross (old gnome
icons?) with bad resolution(pixelized).
The icon for delete in Evolution makes sense now (a paper shredder), but
Cancel is incoherent with the dialogs. Should I reassign this bug on
human-icon-theme and close it here?

There's a missing link for dialog-cancel to the stop/cancel icon. I
think that this icon should also be reviewed, since it is different from

It is fixed as of 2.24.1-0ubuntu2. The behaviour is different from 2.22,
in which expunge would clean read messages from the list. Reload isn't
working either, but double clicking the folder refreshes it and removes
read messages. Ctrl+E was easier though, now we need to use the mouse…

It seems to be fixed for search folders with only one condition, can
anyone else try this? I had a search folder for unread messages and the
messages stuck after read until a refresh. I added another search
criteria to also track important messages and now messages disappear

I've been following Hardy dev on a laptop with Intel graphics and it has
been close to perfect (less the known 3d rendering issues to be fixed
later), and thought of upgrading my desktop which has a nvidia card and
had 7.10 working perfectly with compiz. I've also updated to latest
nvidia drivers
OK, I unset the gconf keys for compiz and gwd and now the metacity
decorations look OK, but on changing desktops the application windows
render blurry until gaining focus... this must be related to something
else. Window shadows still don't show.

I did a --recursive-unset for compiz and gwd, but I just confirmed that
it was that key I referred previously that was FALSE, and made the
decorations work with metacity themes. If I activate it, it breaks
decorations again. :-(

The iSight patch was merged with uvcvideo, although as of latest
2.6.24-8 the firmware loader isn't working (fails getting control from

Yup, I was around the same thing, and utterly came to the same
conclusion. This patch is deeper than the one we tried to port. Knowing

check if it is installed, (since it isn't needed, because synaptics
provides extra mouse button tapping, scrolling, etc) and try to remove

Since synaptics driver provides (in a way) what mouseemu is supposed to

Did removing mouseemu solved this? Can we mark this as Rejected thus

Yup, try to reboot, load jackd and let it run (I suggested jackd because
it causes lots of xruns). Kill it after a while a notice that the sound
becomes distorted, some kind of corruption appears. It must happen when
some application causes xruns, and always becomes worse with usage...

I'm having this after recording 2 DVDs on a TSSTcorpCD/DVDW TS-H552B.
The first burns ok but when writing the next DVD the system slows to a
crawl. I was able to pin point the issue to hald-addon-storage and also
get those kernel errors, but it is hald-addon-storage that slows the
system down.

Hello Whisky, this isn't the same issue. This one was related to missing
rules in hal fdi files for newer models recognition. Our problem right
now has to do with something else, I believe. So this bug is solved, hal

On a MacBook C2D the applet (not very robust, hangs, 'has a mind of its
own') and g-p-m preferences adjust the brightness, but the keys although
raising the notification stick the brightness to the minimum and it's
impossible

(as in send the events) but the brightness level gets stuck on the
minimum. Considering the keys work and g-p-m can adjust the brightness
(even from the applet) what can be the problem here?

I tried to make a debdiff but failed miserably. For some reason
callbackhandler from source differs from the one packaged, so this patch
is for the one packaged.
These 3 lame patches switch gst for xine for playing videos, add seeking
to gstreamer and permit to seek while paused by removing a
Oh damn it.
I made the diff with the source python files and so they don't work with
the packaged files... I don't know why they differ...
This has all the modifications I did...

Hi Chris. This is for the version on Gutsy, however these files in the
source package differ from the packaged files. I tried to build it from
source and the resulting package had several other issues.
Is the packaged version using other files instead of the ones in the
source package? A sync
By tapping with 2 or 3 fingers, and it's configurable which action does
what.
In xorg.conf:
Option TapButton2 2
Option TapButton3 3
or change the order, and if you don't like one finger tapping for button
1, you can add:
