I have moved from the synaptics driver to libinput (remove xserver-xorg-
input-synaptics and install xserver-xorg-input-libinput), and I replaced
touchegg with libinput-gestures (https://github.com/bulletmark/libinput-
gestures
same here, all symptoms above, env PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=30 audacity solves
it

I installed emacs 23.2.1 and auctex, an emacs extension for
writen/compiling latex. Also installed gs 9.01. Using kubuntu natty. All
installations from kubuntu repository.
Using the preview-latex feature in emacs I get an invalidfileaccess error.
I solved this by removing auctex and reinstalling a newer version
