** Description changed:
Binary package hint: packagekit
PackageKit 0.4.8 is in the Karmic repos, while 0.4.9 is out at time.
- Why is only the latest API/ABI stable PackageKit-Version used while we have a
newer and better version (PackageKit 0.5.1) at time?
+ Why is only the latest
Okay, thank you!
Then this cannot be solved. Or does the new PolicyKit-KDE arrives before
feature-freeze? (I don't think so)

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: packagekit
Unfortunately this does not happen always, but very often. PackageKit does not
find information about not installed packages and sometimes the resolve
function fails.
For example, try the package amor:
Type
$ pkcon search file /usr/bin/amor
You can update to PackageKit 0.4.9! It compiles and runs succesfully on
Karmic and it contains a lot of bugfixes.

Okay, I heard the function was removed from the APT backend.
Why? Would it be possible to re-enable it?
