I have tried the recently released fglrx 8.4 drivers which are not in Hardy yet.
They did not fix the problem:( Mythfrontend and other programs still crash.

I was unable to follow Leann's suggested method to test the fix because
my motherboard died and when I got my new motherboard I did a fresh
install of mythbuntu hardy 8.04 beta.
I can report that I don't have any trouble with firewire recording on my
new setup.
I suggest marking this as Fixed
lincity-ng crashes very frequently.
At least one of the crashes was from this issue.
I have only been able to play for a few minutes without crashing.

- don't install shares-admin since nautilus-share is used in hardy
But I think there are still some big problems:
xubuntu depends on this package and does not use nautilus.
mythbuntu recommends this package and does not use natulis.

I used the old tool without any trouble on gutsy.
I understand it is broken in some ways for some users but it always worked OK
for me.
I didn't have any trouble setting up shares using the #3 build in Hardy.

Update to currrent SVN for Monkey's Audio support
Rarewares (http://www.rarewares.org/) has i386 packages for debian.
I use amd64 so I needed to compile my own debs.

I really think this should be fixed on Gutsy.
* This is a regression from edgy.
* This causes loss of data (mythtv fails to record)
* The fix effects only two lines of code.
* Andre Morten says whoops, yes when asked if the fix should be made.
This problem breaks mythtv on amd64.

I suspect there are really two separate problems.
The missing /etc/hosts.deny seems to have been fixed in Gutsy and Hardy.
I never had an issue with SMTP_SUBJECT (probably because I don't use the
email feature?)

This was a Fiesty bug.
I've already confirmed that it is fixed in Hardy and Gutsy.
