Got the same problem with Intel Pro BG9435 wireless card. Once I reset
the AP , it connects but next restart it keeps throwing the message

The settings icon which was usually placed in right corner of the screen is
missing. I tried my best to find it, but I couldn't find it.
The wifi option is there, but I cannot open the settings of Wifi. Even the
Bluetooth option has disappeared and I am unable to switch on

Every time when I click sleep, after that when I logged in again, the
screen goes distorted. Unable to see anything neither on the browser,
not on the desktop screen. I think there is some serious issue. I have
attached the screenshot also.

If Wifi is Not working ...
Step 1 - sudo apt purge bcmwl-kernel-source
step 2 - sudo apt update
Step 3 - sudo apt-get install broadcom-sta-source
step 4 - sudo apt-get install install broadcom-sta-dkms
