I found the problem. I installed the Zend Framework and was trying to
include the Zend Framework in the include path. PHP didn't like that
very much.

Rhythmbox 0.9.8 has no gstreamer profiles in Fiesty
When I removed .asoundrc and .asoundrc.asoundconf from my home directory the
sound works! Here were the settings in those two files:

I didn't realize that I was using OSS. My .xine/config has the following
entry:

And I guess that xine picked oss over alsa? I would much prefer the use of
alsa.

Old habbits die hard. I was so used to firing up Fillezilla that I
forgot how good Nautilus was at accomplishing the task. Thanks Nautilus,

Oddly enough, I can't reproduce at the moment either. I did disable some
gnome-shell extensions since which might have caused this. I'll try a
few more combinations and report back.

I've been using Deluge for a few years.
When I tried again this morning, it crashed with the same error on first
load. I immediately tried to reproduce by closing everything, logging
out and back in but no crash. The error seems to only occur if I haven't
used the computer in a while, like a few
