After upgrading to intrepid, I'm no longer seeing this issue. It seems this was a hardy-only bug. The method for triggering the bug is dependent on the images. Some images take under a second to scale, some take closer to a minute. Basically: create a directory create a bunch of subdirectories pu

The hangs are typically 4 - 5 minutes. and it only happens in my pictures directory.
