I experience this problem every day. Cellphone connections is great but
data is not available, although within the cellphone settings I can see
the Edge symbol. On top bar the data indicator is left empty.
Putting the phone in flight mode, and back solves the problem.

I put the file tmp.7z into a folder in the bookmark list and then thunar
crashed.
I could reproduce this a few times but I don't know when exactly it happens.
For any reason it changed, now thunar doesn't crash when I put it into the
bookmark folder but when I cut and paste it from there to

- Regular boot stops after unpacking initramfs
Steps to reprocude (on my system):
1. Boot into recovery, which still works
2. Select "repair dpkg", then select remount root writeable
I found out my /etc/fstab has been empty so systemd-remount-fs falsely
thought it had nothing to do.
This is still a bug, as Ubuntu crashes at bootup without any further
notice.
A) systemd-remount-fs MUST NOT sys OK if / and /usr aren't writeable after
finishing it's job

I had this issue as well, through ALL of the 5.x kernels. Tried everything
mentioned in the thread here, but nothing worked other than going to 4.15
kernel.
This gave me suspicions it was related to something with the UEFI handoff to
OS, so I looked for BIOS updates and sure enough there was
Kubuntu 32 bit, upgrade from Natty to Oneirc through do-upgrade.
In contrary to previous posts it seems that I have lost 2 databases during
upgrade from Natty to Oneiric.
After upgrade folder /usr/lib/postgresql/9.1/main/base contains only 3
databases - template0, template1, postgres.

Note that the actual databases are in /var/lib/postgresql/. They
shouldn't have been lost during the upgrade, if you reinstall
postgresql-8.4 it should work just fine.
My typo, I had looked for my lost databases in folder
/var/lib/postgresql of course, not in /usr/lib/postgresql.

The upgrade stopped when installing the wvdial package. An interrupt
with strg+c forced the program to continue but it could not finish
successfully: No cleanup and automatic reboot. Booting the old kernel in
recovery mode was possible.

Modify
sudo dpkg-reconfigure -plow libpam-runtime
Fixed it.
It was set to use Winbind NT/Active Directory authentication. I did not ask it
to this, it seems maybe Samba is setting this by default.
