Bug not completely fixed, when switching primary and secondary colors in case of Vertical and Horizontal gradient, one of the colour still is black. I just installed the nightly build package on 13.04 AMD-64. Solid backgrounds and gradients are fixed, HOWEVER, the background still goes black when you select a gradient, then click the -- icon between the two colors to flip them. I had the same problem. It seems that when I choose a color in the control panel it writes something like: rgb(78,154,6) in the primary color field of the scheme org.gnome.desktop.background Changing this by any hexdecimal number fix the problem. It is worth to be mentionned that I installed the gnome3 ppa before removing it with the ppa-purge command. I don't know if the problem was present before this or not.
