Former behavior with Icon in Launcher was far more informative and obvious ! Well synaptic and update-manager do not show the same update - why in my case libre-office stuff is missing in update-manager ? @kikito I think it's not exactly the same problem. Automatic update- manager may only show "security" updates while apt-update shows all available updates. What bothers me is the fact since I run xenial, update-manager never automatically appeared in launcher once.
