[Bug 609744] Re: NetworkManager delay before connection
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: In Lucid on every system start, NetworkManager makes a delay before it connects to wireless network. Sometimes it takes 5 second, sometimes about 30. This behavior is annoying especially when I want to browse internet (well, in 95% of cases I do). It displays a pop-up Wireless Networks Available. Click... [Bug 609744] Re: NetworkManager delay before connection
Hi Roman, Thank you for taking the time to report and bug and helping to make Ubuntu better! Do you also need to click on the network-manager icon and select a wireless, or does it automatically connect (without asking for a a password) after the 30 seconds? It's possible this is related to the time it takes for the driver to scan and return data... It would be very helpful if you could add more information to this bug report by using the 'apport-collect 609744' command. This will add additional information such as excerpts from the /var/log/syslog file, which contains logs of what NetworkManager is doing as it connects. Thanks in advance! :) ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- NetworkManager delay before connection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/609744 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 609744] Re: NetworkManager delay before connection
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. I have classified this bug as a bug in network-manager. If you believe that I have chosen the wrong package, please change your bug to the correct one. Good luck on getting it fixed! ** Package changed: ubuntu = network-manager (Ubuntu) -- NetworkManager delay before connection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/609744 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
