Hi Michael, model and make: HP Color LaserJet cm1312nfi MFP hpijs pcl3, 3.10.6 It's an all in one (well, not all, just print, scan, copy, fax) Scanimage gave: scanimage: open of device hpaio:/net/HP_Color_LaserJet_CM1312nfi_MFP?ip=192.168.1.2 failed: Error during device I/O the first time, but maybe the device wasn't ready yet. next times I got: scanimage scanimage: output is not a file, exiting By the way, there is no big problem for me, as most times simplescan just works. It is just that I noticed the lines in my command line and did as was asked of me: file a bug. Also checking if xsane/scanimage work would be great.
