This is a pretty serious problem. I just discovered that I haven't been
running the latest kernel since about four releases ago. I don't really
think it's fair to blame on the user for editing the wrong part of the
file too. On my system the automagic kernels section was so
I have personally heard people complain about this. Running nautilus in
super user mode is bad, but whenever a user wants to perform a forbidden
operation he should have the option of typing the root password (after
seeing a proper warning).

Inkscape fell short for my needs - and the size of my physical plan
layout was too large for it to handle - I would also love to see the
patched version of Xfig added to the repositories, but I still have
not seen anything that compares to it - maybe QCad - but really XFig
is better IMHO.

If the cluster detection can be improved based on the input from \sh on

Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
* Ogra's patch was rendered obsolete by 2.4+dfsg-6
* Kees' patch is on hold for now, as it breaks debugging support

This is probably a pulseaudio bug. For now, I suggest installing the
pavucontrol package from universe, and going to the output tab and
choosing what output destination you want, i.e internal speakers or
headphones.

Ok... latest test. I recompiled the kernel and made modular much of the
ACPI functionality. Here's the relevant section of the config file:

Besides the pad2keys_active option, I had to edit the /etc/lircd.conf file to
make this work. My iMon PAD identifies with:
ID 15c2:ffdc SoundGraph Inc. iMON PAD Remote Controller
Copy /usr/share/lirc/remotes/imon/lircd.conf.imon-pad to
