i just got finish haveing it happen again and i was able to run compiz
--replace and it fixed things the output is

line to ensure that the synchronisation script is called.

Ubuntu reports the VirtualBox drivers as enabled on my Natty
Virtualbox machine. With the old compiz in Maverick this was enough to
get Compiz running with effects.

This bug is present in 10.04 LTS and 10.10 versions and affect Nikon users (at

I have the same problem on a Dell Precision M4500. It seems to be caused by the
fact that no udev events are triggered if the DVD is ejected with the button
when the drive is mounted. Unmounting the DVD after it has been ejected
triggers the event. In the same way, just unmonting without

LANGUAGE. The authorization dialog probably uses LANG for the prompt
text, whereas the rest of the dialog is localized using LANGUAGE. That

After fighting with it for a week i noticed, that it only happened when my

remove ALSA and install OSS 4 and followed the instructions mentioned on

When using the scale all windows mode, the workspace numbers are wrong when
using a 3x3 layout.
Windows on workspaces 1..3 get a suffix [1], 4..6 get [5], and 7..9 get
[9].
