Oi André, reinstalei do zero agora a partir do live-cd, e fiz uma
atualização. O problema da pesquisa do Unity (dash) persiste, onde não
consigo colocar caracteres acentuados. Você relatou que está conseguindo
colocar esses caracteres
Meu...vai de FreeNX...trampei no passado em um ambiente no Japao e funfou de boa

Olha pessoal parece que teremos que esperar uma nova versão do unity para
resolver este problema, pois se trata de um bug (

Comigo acontece a mesma coisa.
Quando entro com o linux e depois no windows, não conecta no wireless.
E vice-versa.
O problema resolve quando entro no linux (ou windows) bloqueio a conexão
sem
fio e desbloqueio, em seguida reinicio

Se você está tendo dificuldades para copiar os arquivos, acredito que seja
melhor montar a unidade somente com leitura.
No Terminal com o livecd digite:
sudo mount -t ext4 /dev/sdXY /mnt -r
O X é a letra referente ao seu HD e o Y a partição exemplo: /dev/sda3

I'm affected by this bug too.
I recently upgraded my laptop from a Dell Latitude D380 running Lucid
64-bit to a Dell Latitude E6520 running Natty 64. I moved all my VMs
from the old machine to the new. All the VMs had been working fine for
a long time on the old system.
The first VM i booted
I can confirm this has fixed the bug that I reported #769545 relating to
banshee.
Thanks to all those involved in fixing this long outstanding bug.
