Last week-end I installed Ubuntu 8.10 on my friend's computer and it

This is Arpan and I am using Kubuntu for 8 months now, currently Kubuntu

I faced the same situation during first boot after kubuntu hardy alpha

'Administrator mode' the result was same.
My system is AMD Athlon 3000+ 64-bit, NVidia 6100GeForce on board VGA,
Motherboard - ASUS K8N-VM.
The problem is that

I can confirm the 'Storage Media' part for Hardy alpha 3(ix86), present
on both, the live cd and after install. 'Home Folder' option works for
me on the same System menu applet. I have not tried 'trash', 'remote
folders' and other options yet.
Works well in D3lphin.

http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-linuxm=116983610516719w=2 , at least it
works for me (Ubuntu 7.04 32bit on AMD 64).
I added a line in my xorg.conf file and it works fine after that. Now
I just want to add one more thing that if I leave my system idle for a
while, with no screensaver configured, after some time about 10-15
mins., the monitor goes black (power saving mode) and when I come back
and move mouse/press key to get the screen back, at that time also the
pointer goes off,
