The boot experience in lucid is epic fail. I have this problem with nvidia
driver but and to my dell inspiron 1011 i have very long boot time. About 30
sec.
I dont know what they have done but i can see the result of what they have make.
This is very sad because everything else in this release
I have just install lucid netbook remix edition to my dell inspiron
1011. Everything works fine expect plymouth. The boot time is too long
and i have some errors before ubuntu logo appear.

I have the same problem. First i give this in terminal
sudo -i; MODULE=forcedeth; echo SUSPEND_MODULES=\$MODULE\

and after the suspend i give
sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart
now every time i give network restart the network work again. My system

My system is Kubuntu 7.10.I have change my monitor to a wide samsung
2232bw.The problem was that every time i login to the system the
resolution was 1280x1024.I reinstall nvidia driver,i set with sudo
nvidia settings to the correct resolution,i add xorg.conf
I have found new problem in gnome this time with the greek fonts.

I cant find in the setting something like that but i found tha the
system is in utf-8.The strange is that i dont have problem before the

3.5.8.Ι cant play the cd with the option open with..

I have found and other programme that have problem with encodings.I
think we must change the bug title.It seems that kubuntu have enconding
