This morning, when booting after hibernation, it was again looking for
/dev/sda5 rather than /dev/sdb5 although the /etc/uswsusp.conf points to
sdb. This should not happen. I suppose that there is some other place
where I have to manually correct this in order to avoid this problem?

for '/dev/sdb5'.
I edited uswsusp.conf and changed the 'resume device = /dev/sda5'
into 'resume device = /dev/sdb5' and that fixed my problem.
Still It is probably worth to mention that this problem did occur and
had to be fixed manually.
(Sorry for the noise if this is a wrong assumption)

Editing /etc/init.d/g15daemon as suggested gets rid of the
'/dev/input/uinput not found' message. But unfortunately, none of the
G15 keys work. (As expected, not even after stopping the daemon).
These keys are fully dead. When launching xev, there is no event
whatsoever for any of these keys.
--
The fact that these keys do not work after the correction in
/etc/init.d/g15daemon is probably caused by the error described in Bug

The original report is about the i386 version.
I have the problem on an amd64 architecture, running 9.04.
