I would tell u to get the gstreamer packages from the Ubuntu repositories.
There are gstreamer-good gstreamer-bad and gstreamer-ugly packages that
solve my problem. As you are new to Ubuntu, you can get the Ubuntu
repositories over Package-Manager.
