Thank you very much for your report!
This can be caused by an invalid main.cvd file or one that is broken in
half after an unsuccessful update.
Your best course of action is to delete the database definitions at
/var/lib/clamav and run freshclam so it refreshes all the files again.

Can't reproduce doing a fresh install or an upgrade of the package, this
will only happen if I manually delete main.cvd which is not a packaging
error.
Could you please try to reinstall the package from scratch in order for
it to work properly for you?

Looks like the bootstrap part of the install failed.
As you can see from the error messages in #2 it looks like mysql was
unable to create files in /tmp - this was blocked by apparmor.
