2010-12-21 Thread Imre Gergely

useradd: não foi possível bloquear /etc/passwd; tente mais tarde.
adduser: `/usr/sbin/useradd -d /var/lib/clamav -g clamav -s /bin/false -u 116

dpkg: erro processando clamav-base (--configure):

Something is blocking the user database file (/etc/passwd) and because
of this clamav's package's postinst script can't create the clamav user. You
should check out what is blocking the passwd file, eventually try to
remove the block (I'm not 100% sure, but there should be an
/etc/passwd.lck or some other file), or try a reboot, then reinstall
clamav.

This is not a clamav bug, marking as invalid.

Re: [Bug 691414] Re: clamav taking extremely long time to load database

2010-12-21 Thread Scott Kitterman
If it takes less than a minute to start, I think it's a win. You could
compare startup times, but since upstream disabled some of the bytecode
checks for 0.96.3, I'm not sure how much difference there is currently.
It may be that now this is manifested by checks not run and I don't know
how to verify that.

[Bug 691609] Re: Cannot migrate a VM from Ubuntu 9.04 to Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS

2010-12-21 Thread Serge Hallyn
As you'd observed from the start, I suspect we need to drop the 'format=raw'
from the command. Please add the following to the disk definition in your
.xml file (i.e. virsh edit a1.6-q2.log):

  driver name='qemu' type='qcow2'/

So the whole disk definition will probably look like:

disk type=file device=disk
source file=/var/kvm/a1.6-q2.img/
driver name='qemu' type='qcow2'/
target dev=hda bus=ide/
/disk

[Bug 693002] [NEW] apparmor rights bug with bind9 and resovconf

2010-12-21 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Binary package hint: apparmor

Hi,

The profile defined for named by aparmor is not correct
(apparmor2.5.1~rc1-0ubuntu2 - ubuntu 10.10)

in /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.named we find :
  # support for resolvconf
  /var/run/named/named.options r,

but resolvconf generates this file as /var/run/bind/named.options and
not /var/run/named/named.options

Other ACLs also refer to the directory /var/run/named/ wich does not
even exist in ubuntu 10.10 (the correct path is /var/run/bind/

this is the same problem for /var/log/named/ direcorty, because of
naming conventions in ubuntu : you'de rather log into /var/log/bind/
instead

A possible solution :
substitute /var/run/named/ to /var/run/bind/ and /var/log/named/ to
/var/log/bind/ in /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.named

Another solution is tu use those named directories for
logging/generating file with resolvconf

Cheers

[Bug 693020] Re: Closing KVM window requires clicking the X twice

2010-12-21 Thread Rob Landley
More details: this is xubuntu x86-64.

If I just launch kvm and immediately kill it, it exits with one click on
the X. But if I clock on the display area to let KVM do a mouse grab
and then alt-escape out of the mouse grab, afterwards the KVM window
ignores the first click on the X. (Even if I switch focus to another
window and switch focus back in between doing so, the first click on the
X is always ignored after KVM's done a mouse grab.)

In fact, if I grab-and-escape, the click the X once, and then grab and
escape again, it's back to ignoring the first click on the X and thus
needing two clicks on the X to kill the window.

[Bug 687275] Re: Fix graceful action in init script when mod_chroot is enabled

2010-12-21 Thread Daniel Hahler
That would be nice to have as a built-in functionality, but apparently
it differs from mod_chroot.

I have added ChrootDir /var/www to /etc/apache2/conf.d/my_defaults,
but it seems like the fastcgi processes now get started outside of the
chroot / before Apache chroots:

I am getting the following error (only /var/www/usr/lib/libc-client.so.2007e
exists, not /usr/lib/libc-client.so.2007e):
/var/www/bin/php4-fcgi: error while loading shared libraries:
libc-client.so.2007e: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Apart from that there appears to be another problem, fastcgi processes
(PHP) return Service Temporarily Unavailable, while requests to normal
resources (image) work fine.

This is likely also related to the order in which chrooting and spawning
the fastcgi processes happens.

I am using mod_fastcgi.

[Bug 627227] Re: ChrootDir(mpm_common) and DocumentRoot issues

2010-12-21 Thread Daniel Hahler
A better work around might be to use a symlink setup like:
  # ls -l /var/www/var/www
  lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 2 Aug 18 19:08 /var/www/var/www - ..

This allows me to use /var/www from inside and outside the chroot.

I am using mod_chroot however (just learned that ChrootDir is in the
core now, but it works differently; see bug 687275).

[Bug 681141] Re: kvm 1.84 hangs (host 32 bit meerkat, guest created by vmbuilder)

2010-12-21 Thread Travis Groth
It looks like I am hitting this problem under kvm_amd. I've tried
several guest kernels (CentOS 5 ISO, Maverick PXE boot and ISO, Squeeze
PXE and netboot ISO). All hang basically as soon as the kernel loads.
No VGA output, no Serial output even with options
'earlyprintk=ttyS0,115200 debug apic=debug'.  I have yet to find a
kernel that will actually boot though I have not tried Fedora 14. Info:

2010-12-21 Thread Travis Groth
Fedora 14 Live CD hangs with a white box on screen right after the
splash finishes counting down. I have to assume it is doing the same
thing

I just booted into a non-PAE host kernel and both F14 and Squeeze PXE
boot. Looks as thought something is broken when trying to boot 32bit
guests on a PAE system with the kernel/kvm combo listed.

[Bug 683955] Re: [SRU] Please upgrade tftpd-hpa in lucid to at least 5.0-14

2010-12-21 Thread Imre Gergely
I can't reproduce this. I just happen to have an LTSP server installed
(Lucid 32bit), which uses tftpd-hpa for thin client bootup, and it works
just fine.

r...@ifptr-ltsp:/var/log# apt-cache policy tftpd-hpa
tftpd-hpa:
  Installed: 5.0-11ubuntu2

  Version table:

100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

What I did:

- fired up the ltsp server
- tail -f /var/log/syslog |grep tftp
- fired up a thin client, saw this in the logs:

- re-ran tail -f /var/log/syslog (to watch the new syslog file and NOT syslog.1)
- rebooted the thin client, saw the exact same thing logged to syslog (in.tftpd
was running all this time, I didn't restart it)

Thanks, Scott

In this case, I don't know if this would be unique to Ubuntu or not. I
am not suggesting a code change in upstart with that message, but rather
a change in the way upstart is used and packaged in Ubuntu. Though, it
would be rather nice if everybody used upstart the same way.

[Bug 688541] Re: race condition on shutdown (leads to corrupted fs)

2010-12-21 Thread James Hunt
@Michael: yes, this should be stop on unmount-filesystem or single-
user (we can create a new event for single-user to make the logic
clearer).

@Clint: I agree that full migration sounds like the best approach. I
have had a few discussions previously with Scott on the idea of abstract
jobs. There is quite a lot of scope here. Aside from network-services,
we could introduce jobs such as:

- network-manager (not the application, could also refer to connman, wicd,
etc).
- firewall (iptables, ufw, etc).
- display-manager (gdm, kdm, xdm, etc)
- ssh (openssh, dropbear)
