For what it's worth, this does not happen with the squid-deb-proxy
package (which uses squid with an optimized config) - at least after
several boot processes.
The init/start script is different, for example, it uses
start on (local-filesystems and net-device-up IFACE!=lo)
instead of
Won't this be fixed for Lucid? It's pretty annoying and there's no
other fix than upgrading to 12.04?

Ubuntu ships packages which have dealt with source builds already for
you. To install ipsec-tools, type apt-get update and then apt-get
install ipsec-tools. For version 0.8, you'll need Ubuntu release 11.10
or
php5, php5-cli, etc. on both machines are 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.1 (x86_64)
from the precise-updates repository.
So the only real difference is the kernel version.

I've not been able to receive any warning or error output from PHP5.
Apparently, this is a known (and patched) bug with PHP5. Could you take
