Shouldn't this be marked as fixed because it is now working in Karmic (without
having to compile the newest module)?

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xorg
I'm using Jaunty on my Dell Inspiron 1420 laptop, and I tried to ouput
my display to my television using S-Video. I managed to get it to work
using the Display Preferences, but it screwed up my laptop's resolution
and it won't revert back.

Binary package hint: plasma-netbook
I have an eee PC netbook which I've installed an eGalax based
touchscreen. The drivers for this need the xserver-xorg-input-mouse
package installed and an xorg.conf in order to work.
I installed the input-mouse
Nothing netbook specific here as that's pretty normal for X these days.
I'm moving the bug to xserver since the people that read those bugs can
tell you how best to proceed.

eGalax based touchscreen and xorg
Using intel driver did remove the message but not solve the issue at
least for me. It worked great before the latest updates... which makes
me ask if anyone know how to restore the packages to the working
versions?? What packages etc?
Please don't say that we have to wait for a fix to be released

100% cpu usage with latest updates, acpid socket missing
This happens to me with the nvidia, the nv, and the nouveau driver.
Here's another thing I noticed: when I have the issue, xorg is not able to open
the acpid socket:
(WW) Open ACPI failed (/var/run/acpid.socket) (No such file or
directory)
If I log out and log back in, things go back to normal:
