Hi Robert, thank you for the hint. I didn't know there was a kernel in the xorg- edgers ppa. But after installing it and a reboot, suspend still doesn't work at all. Nothing happens when I click on Suspend or Hibernate in the Powermanagement plasmoid. ste...@rattle:~ uname -r 2.6.30-10-generic

I may have been to eger to report this bug since it doesn't affect me anymore, maybe because I also insalled the karmic versions of acpid, acpi-support and pm-utils. This should also cover the kms quirks. the only thing that doesn't work is dpms support. I can succesfully suspend my machine by

Can you test it on a karmic livecd to see if the problem persists Stefan? If the problem persists on the kubuntu karmic livecd then you should create another bug regarding it, perhaps we might be able to figure out why it is happening and I can look into including a fix in edgers for jaunty.

There are so many more factors that could be causing this into this than just what you listed, is there a reason you don't just upgrade to karmic fully? Can you see if it behaves differently on a kubuntu karmic livecd? pm-utils in jaunty doesn't handle KMS quirks for suspend/resume, and
