I installed a few days ago natty beta 1 and with the last update the problem
fixed.
The only where i did, is to edit xorg.conf and then everything works well.

I test with natty beta1 and try with more boot options, but nothing change!
The only where i fixed is resolution, but it does break with lines on screen
every some seconds.
I try to boot with vesa and then i don' t have these break lines, but i can' t
fix resolution.

Same problem with ATI card. Todays upgrade of Xorg rendered my screen
resolution (normally 1680x1050) to 1400x1050. No way to reset it - as
far as I can find. The monitor worked fine up until now.

I think the problem is with the newer kernel!
On Lucid everything work well.
Today i installed 2.6.38-rc8 kernel on Lucid and i have the same problem.

Your monitor is bad. It does not provide EDID information to the
driver. EDID tells what resolutions are possible. Without the EDID
information the driver cannot automatically figure out a resolution for
you.
Either use a better monitor that does provide EDID, or you will have to
manually
