It seems the bug is identified also a short patch (at fdo bugtracker)
which cures the problem. Today I will try to apply that patch to the

I've been facing a problem since yesterday(12 April 2011) by which my session
restarts and I get thrown back to the login screen. This occurs at the point
where I launch some application - but it does not seem specific to the app that
I launching.
Seems like this bug only happens when the USB Suspension is enabled.
At the moment I'm writing this, I'm on a netbook with a Celeron ULV 723 1.2GHz
(no speedstep) and i915 drivers. Enabling USB Suspensions makes Kworker go mad
and start eating all CPU Resources. It also kills the USB ports for ev

I'm 95% sure that I was doing this every day pre-Lucid with no manual
configuration. On Maverick now. I have an LCD with both VGA and HDMI
inputs. The HDMI works better on a different resolution, and goes
through an A/V receiver. All the resolutions
(EE) fglrx(0): PowerXpress: Fail to switch libGL link files.
I get this. I believe that creating those links that were mentioned would fix
the problem, as I tried to link them and X started and worked right for a while
(then crashed, because I think I created the symlinks wrong).

* Does it exhibit the issue, or no
* What is the PCI ID of the graphics card. I.e.: output of ` lspci -vvnn |

When you fix it, there's another problem I'd like to point out now.
The left edge of the screen is not "active" so that for instance if you set the
panel to "autohide" you can't get the panel to show up using the stylus.
This may not be fixable, this may be a Wacom error.

that's no longer needed, and you should be using evdev instead. Indeed,
you can try booting natty with no xorg.conf and I think it should work
for your hardware.

It's unlikely to be xinput's fault. The video driver would be a better
guess.
However, it's also possible there's a conflict with the glx in
ia32-libs. Can you please temporarily uninstall ia32-libs and see if
you can reproduce the bug?
