I'm seeing something similar to xian98. I have i2c_hid black listed as
described, but mostly use a mouse. After multiple suspend / wake cycles
the mouse stops working and I have to reboot.

tseliot seems to be affected too, restarting lightdm fixes it. The
xorg.log doesn't show any changes between the broken and working run,
which is why I suspect it's a greeter bug, not a xorg-server bug.

During migration to a new Kubuntu version (12.10 to 13.04), KDE file was
corrupted : this explain why there was no desktop after boot complete. I
have erased the corrupted KDE file and after reboot I have had a default

exist with Ubuntu 13.10.
I can not help with the bug and it doesnt affect me anymore, but it is probably

Public bug reported:
I have a Lenovo T440p laptop with a displayport monitor attached to the
docking station. If I turn on the laptop in the docking station, the
monitor works under the BIOS but once I get into Linux the monitor
doesn't light up. I see the following in kernel log (full logs
