when clicking buttons, the button just flickers and does nothing.

should not (cannot) be used in this combination on Xenial ? I merely
like to have a test system with similar behaviour as the mobile one as
development on PC is much easier than on tablet/phone alone.

After starting the laptop the touchpad works for about 20-30 seconds
after login. Am only able to utilize external USB mouse for functional
control over the pointer. This is a fresh install (not upgrade) to the
new LTS 16.04, Touchpad was working correctly with the last LTS
vak, to clarify, I meant to ask releases prior to 16.04.
