my crash file exists indeed on the day that wayland crashed but
ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_usr_bin_Xwayland.1000.crash gives me the apport
GUI report window with
an xwayland crashed with SIGABRT in Osabort
but once i 'send report' nothing happens, does not transfer to launchpad
i also did

this was only on this hardware, i never been able to reproduce on other machines

I have 2 systems with screen corruption and square mouse pointer:
*desktop precise 64bit 12.04.1 clean installed on ati x800
*laptop precise 32bit 12.04.1 on lubuntu clean installed on ati mobile
This is what i tryed:
*adding 'nomodeset' to /etc/default/grub = compiz got disabled, screen lags
I confirm that adding GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=quiet splash nomodeset to
/etc/default/grub
removes the screen corruption and square mouse pointer at pc boot, but compiz
is unworkable, wobbly windows
are disabled, unity icon laucher size default as in 2D, screen lags etc...
If anyone know a

I have this bug haunting me on 12.04,14.04,15.10 and 16.04
First boot the screen and mouse pointer are disformed,
after second boot it gets fixxed and i can't reproduce it anymore on next
reboots
the day after first boot, screen is disformed again.

Yes this issue still occurs on xenial, but its not reproducable, sometimes it
happens after boot, sometimes it doesnt
but in most cases the second boot will solve this

Overall system is lagging when opening programs and mouse, not smooth to work

on gnome and the default wayland session, the xorg session is fast without
lags. Tested the same machine on 17.10 and have same issues.
Solved by system updates, cannot reproduce on ubuntu 18.04.1 anymore @
