Nouveau is no option in my case as it does not detect my monitors
capabilities correctly and will not do any resolution above 640x480.
Native is 1280x800. Nice idea, but problems at least as tedious as the
ones with nvidia closed source.
On a side note, the 295.40 nvidia driver works flawlessl

Very similar situation here, however:
In my case there is absolutely no prediction of crashing. It just
happens: instant shutdown followed by automatic reboot. Nothing to be
seen in the logs. Happens under

Tried it and lo and behold, I got a crash eventually, although it took
way longer in the regular usage scenario. I am not sure if the TLP
settings are implemented correctly though. On one occasion i7z told m
