I use the command "screen" for everything... including standard log ins...
It's SERIOUSLY useful... including the ability to disconnect terminals,
reconnect them, and if your telnet session accidentally dies [for eg, your
NT workstation blue screens...], you can get back anythign you WERE doing,
since they never got the HUP signal...

hi,
I am using Latest build of UDM with latest MySQL, on Readhat 6.5. All
this seems to be working fine but I would really like to see what is
indexer upto any any one time whem I log on again...
I start my indexer like this
./indexer -a -v 4
Once I log off I cannot see what indexer is up to on the next logon with
"ps".
I am relatively new to RedHat...
I will appreciate if anyone can guide me in the right direct... as I would
really like to use UDM for few major things...
