I try to install a service with instsrv.exe from Windows Resource Kit.
usage
instsrv.exe ServiceName c:\myprog\myprog.exe
works. Problem: the service needs some parameters. I tried
instsrv.exe ServiceName "c:\myprog\myprog.exe -myparam1 -myparam2"
and this won't work.
instsrv.exe takes
I have found the problem while looking at other settings. As it turns
out, config.pl was operating correctly, but not picknig up some settings
out of unattend.csv - this was because my computers are named and given
Windows ProductIDs etc based on their MAC address. I had this typed

net use z: \\server\install abcd /user:domainname\alex (Of course the
username alex must exist in the domain.
